Condiciones Laborales y de Salud en Conductores de Transporte Público Individual de Pasajeros

Los conductores del servicio individual de pasajeros tipo taxi, debido a los factores que intervienen de forma constante en el desarrollo de su labor, están expuestos a riesgos laborales (físicos, psicosociales, biológicos, entre otros). El objetivo de esta investigación fue caracterizar las condiciones laborales y de salubridad de los conductores de transporte público individual de pasajeros tipo taxi de la ciudad de Bucaramanga y el área metropolitana, a través de una investigación cuantitativa, descriptiva de corte transversal.

Se analizaron las condiciones sociodemográficas de esta población y revisaron los riesgos de tipo físico y biomecánico a los cuales están expuestos los conductores, encontrando que el 92,6% de los conductores realizan jornadas laborales de más de 8 horas diarias, el 56,9% cuenta con más de 10 años de experiencia, el 57,9% reconoce la presencia de dolor lumbar y el 89,5% identificó estar expuesto a algún factor de riesgo de tipo biomecánico.

Se concluyó que los conductores de transporte público individual de pasajeros tipo taxi, están expuestos a factores de riesgo de tipo físico y biomecánico, como horarios de trabajo superiores a 10 horas, posturas incorrectas, vibración corporal y movimientos repetitivos de mano y muñeca; esto conlleva al deterioro de la salud física, mental y emocional de los mismos y sus grupos familiares y sociales, produciendo diferentes alteraciones en su organismo y lesiones crónicas de tipo articular y de tejidos blandos de consideración.
